Widex was the first to produce a digital in-the-ear hearing aid and wireless technology. Widex’s innovations aim to provide wearers with unlimited access to the world of sound. Known for their trademark Widex Sound, their hearing aid models capture a full spectrum of sound for their wearers – from the softest whisper to a voice in a crowd.

About Widex Hearing Aids
Digital & Wireless Technology
Widex was the first manufacturer to produce wireless hearing aid technology, using a microchip to process sound. Widex hearing aids have been referred to as “sleek micro-computers for your ears.” With incredibly fast processing, Widex wearers receive true-to-life sound at such a fast speed that the listening experience is seamless and natural. Widex has also imbued their hearing aids with technological features to eliminate feedback and to enhance speech sound.
Widex Hearing Aids
Widex offers three main families of hearing aids, all wireless: UNIQUE, DREAM, and SUPER. They are also known for their ZEN Tinnitus Therapy, a program designed to specifically treat the simultaneous experience of hearing loss and tinnitus (“ringing of the ear”).
UNIQUE hearing aids provide a comprehensive listening experience, with a full picture of sound. UNIQUE handles a wide range of sound without distortion, both in loud and quiet environments. Regardless of the external environment, UNIQUE wearers will experience pleasant and natural sounds. With a wind reduction feature, UNIQUE is a great choice for wearers with active lifestyles. Wind reduction helps to pick up speech and other environmental sounds, while reducing the distracting sound of wind.
UNIQUE is powered by a super-fast processing system, which analyzes and balances sounds in the wearer’s environment. This system ensures that wearers are able to hear the sounds they desire at the right moment. In addition to these advanced features, UNIQUE connects to the Widex Com-Dex device, which gives wearers the option of streaming phone calls, music, and other media from their smartphones directly to their ears.
UNIQUE hearing aids are available in the following styles: completely-in-canal (CIC) micro, CIC, in-the-ear (ITE), receiver-in-canal (RIC), and behind-the-ear (BTE).
Widex Beyond allows wearers complete control over their listening experience with a customizable made-for-iphone app that can meet numerous preferences. With 2.4GHZ direct connectivity, users can expect a quick, seamless, user-friendly interface for navigation and response that is as fast as life is.
With Beyond expect clean, crisp sound even while streaming with the Beyond’s integrated signal processing chip-set design, 100% independent channel separation, minimal delay filters, and 4 A/D converters. Not to mention the lowest current consumption of all made-for-iphone streaming hearing aids in the industry. With all these features, including being available for Android, Widex Beyond is a hearing aid that does go beyond.
DREAM hearing aids do what their name suggests: they provide an experience that may seem like a dream. For people who experience hearing loss, speech sounds and environmental sounds become dull or are missed over time. DREAM changes this by providing a true-to-life sound of even the quietest in any environment. With detailed sound, and a distortion-free listening experience, DREAM wearers may enjoy conversation in a variety of environments.
DREAM provides excellent speech recognition features, including the ability for wearers to identify the direction from which speech comes. With 360-degree picture of sound, wearers are able to surmount the difficulties of hearing speech coming from behind them. Additionally, connection to the Widex Com-Dex device provides wireless streaming of smartphone sounds directly to the DREAM aids. Widex’s True-Input Technology captures the intricate sounds of music for music lovers.
DREAM hearing aids are available in the following styles: CIC micro, CIC, ITE, RIC, and BTE.
SUPER hearing aids are an advanced family of aids to provide the best listening experience for
people with severe to profound hearing loss. SUPER amps up the sound features found in both UNIQUE and DREAM, providing high-degree hearing loss wearers with more enhanced and powerful speech recognition features, noise cancellation, and a long battery life. With SUPER, sounds are amplified, but remain distortion-free, and wearers with high degrees of hearing loss are able to connect to the sounds in their environment. SUPER’s design makes it perfect for folks with active lifestyles, with protective coating against the elements.
SUPER, for all of its power remains a small and discreet hearing aid, in the RIC style.
ZEN Tinnitus Therapy
Tinnitus appears in 80% to 90% of hearing loss cases. Tinnitus, known as “ringing of the ear,” is a condition in which people experience sounds internally – without an external stimulus. Tinnitus sounds are frustrating and distracting, and have been found to contribute to an increased risk for stress, insomnia, depression, and memory problems.
While many advanced hearing aids offer a tinnitus sound masking option, Widex takes tinnitus treatment one step further with ZEN Tinnitus Therapy.
ZEN consists of a four-part program: 1) Counseling, to educate and assist the limbic system to alter its negative interpretation of tinnitus sounds with cognitive and behavioral intervention; 2) Amplification, to stimulate the ears and brain and to prevent overcompensation; 3) Fractal tones (Zen tones), to relax the brain and provide acoustic stimulation; and 4) Relaxation, with behavioral exercises and sleep management strategies.
ZEN Tinnitus Therapy is available in Widex aids, as well as in a standalone device, called ZEN2Go.
