What Are Hearing Care Best Practices, and Why Do We Follow Them?

Every industry has best practices, including hearing care. The hearing care industry’s best practices have been established by the American Academy of Audiology, as Dr. Cliff mentions in his video, which we have shared below for your info.

Worth Hearing Center has been following hearing care best practices since our founding. Because of this, we are able to provide a consistently superior level of quality of care for our patients. You can read more about the benefits of using best practices in hearing care in the next section below.

How Do Best Practices Improve Hearing Care Outcomes?

An audiologist examines a young woman's ear with an otoscope

Assessment & Goal Setting

Our assessment process includes four steps: an in-depth interview, an examination of your ear called an otoscopy, a hearing test, and needs assessment, at which point we can begin to discuss if you would be a good candidate for hearing treatment and options available to you.

Technical Aspects of Treatment

Our hearing technology recommendation will take into account your hearing ability and your lifestyle preferences. We test all our devices before fitting them and verify through Real Ear Measurement Testing that you are getting the sounds at levels we expect. We are glad to offer assistive listening devices and accessories.

Orientation, Counseling, & Follow-up

During your orientation, you will receive instruction on and get to practice many aspects of what it’s like to use hearing aids. As part of your hearing care, you will receive expert guidance on what to expect while wearing hearing aids, along with follow-up care like reprogramming and clean & checks on a regular basis.

Assessing Outcomes

Benefit evaluation ensures that you are satisfied with your hearing aids and the experience you are having with them. You deserve the best, which is why our treatments are fully guaranteed, meaning we are committed to listening to your concerns and your devices are always perfectly fit to renew your world of hearing.

See how Others Have Benefitted from Improved Hearing

“I can listen to TV, without trying to read lips. It’s made a big difference in my life. I’m not saying, ‘Huh? Pardon me. Excuse me, what did you say?’ I hear everything clearly and precisely. Get hearing aids and have quality of life.”

– Patrick

“Before I found Worth Hearing Center, I didn’t seem to be able to participate in regular conversation and communication. It was very depressing. Then I realized how much hearing I had lost. I enjoy cooking, but the timer would go off, and I’d have no idea. You don’t know how much you can’t hear until you have the hearing aids. I never dreamed what I was missing. Being able to hear again changes your whole life. I became more self-confident and more interactive.”

– Mary Lou
