Where did you grow up?

Dumas, Texas

Outside hobbies/interests?

Family time, gardening with my daughter (we are serial vegetable killers), running, biking, working out, reading, camping (kind-of)… ok, I just like being outside.

What motivates you to come to work every day at WHC?

I relish the idealistic idea of small business. We aim to take care of our team, so they can take care of their families. I want to provide a safe and challenging environment for Worth Hearing Center employees to grow as individuals and to feel valued. As an audiologist, I love helping a person face the challenge of hearing loss. It is a brave step they are taking and so rewarding for me to help them through it.

Favorite patient story/situation?

I received a voicemail one late Friday afternoon. It was a fairly new patient of mine who had started wearing hearing aids about 6 months prior. He said, “Callie, this is /name/ and I’m sitting here in one of New Mexico’s beautiful state parks, and I’m listening to the birds. And I just wanted to say, ‘thank you’.”

Favorite food?

My grandmother’s fried chicken, “Nanny’s Fried Chicken”

Favorite movie?

This is the hardest question on this list. I just can’t possibly answer.

Favorite book?

Anything by Vonnegut.
